I really cannot understand the reason for even asking huge discounts. How would these people pay their bills, facilities, resources, soft and hard ware, then feed and dress themselves, if they are even lucky to be living alone, without any kid or even dog at home. My cleaning lady earns almost double of this rate. I have plenty of well-paying work and the last thing I need is potential clients thinking I would even contemplate accepting this ridiculous rate. ![]() I will remove my CV from this site because I've never seen a decent paying job on it and have only heard about scams. My hourly and also my minimum rate is EUR 35. My cleaner earns more than twice that per hour!! I will never accept any job below EUR 0.09 per hour, and that would be my discount price for large volumes. I cannot believe any professional European translator would accept a word rate of EUR 0.04 or an hourly rate of EUR 5!! They are ridiculously low. Many thanks for making the effort anyway and also informing us of this change. Perhaps that should also be taken into considerationĪs I need to teach English, for example to supplement my income as a Spanish to English translator. and similar sites and that is lowering the quality of the translators, which clients often are not aware ofĪnd also allowing people into this sector who are not real translators. There has recently been an accusation that websites are accepting ridiculously low rates for translations, especially I think the minimum of 5€ per hour is a little low and that the minimum per word should be 0.05€ but I guess that itĭepends on the other translators opinions too.
